Profco has been retained by Justice Health to recruit nurses for the New Forensic Hospital which opened on November 27th, 2008
Wards will open on a phased basis and we require nurses to work in all areas which include
Austinmer – 23 bed acute high dependency unit for men.
Bronte – 17 bed unit for women and 16 bed acute unit for adolescents
Clovelly – 27 bed non acute, extended care unit for men
Dee Why – 32 bed long stay unit for men and women
Elouera – 20 bed rehabilitation unit for men and women

The Hospital Environment
The Forensic Hospital is the first of its kind in New South Wales and provides specialised forensic mental health programs for adult and adolescent males and females.
The Forensic Hospital is purpose built to support the diverse clinical needs of patients who have been, or are at risk of being, in contact with the criminal justice system. The hospital caters for patients requiring short-term intensive care right through to those who will call the hospital home for many years. Situated in spacious grounds, the low-rise design of the Forensic Hospital creates a relaxed community feel enhanced by open spaces and natural surrounds.
The Forensic Hospital is located at 1300 Anzac Parade, Malabar in Sydney, Australia and is a 12 minute drive from the centre of Sydney city, it is a short drive to Coogee Beach and Bondi Beach.
There is free on-site parking and the hospital is conveniently and regularly serviced by public transport buses.
